DIagnosys: An Analytical Framework for the Identification of Elementary School Students with Intellectual Disability

The identification of mild Intellectual Disability (ID) usually occurs late when the demands intrinsic to literacy reveal typical signs educators. study had two phases. first phase aimed at developing a computation system (framework), named DIagnosys, an instrument designed help educators identify students with characteristics compatible ID, and describe operational, tactical, strategic levels. second verified framework predictive sensitivity, using artificial intelligence algorithm. For that purpose, was applied in 51 teachers their 1,758 2nd 4th grade, respective parents. We collected data checklist Brief Problem Monitor (teacher parent versions), Wechsler Abbreviated Scale Intelligence, medical evaluation. statistical analysis Confusion Matrix showed accuracy 82 95% for teacher checklists, respectively. decision-making model high indexes providing evidence can be protagonists teaching-learning process mobilizing parents use health care services.
